A people-focused project with a simple mission:
Confront email phishing, scams, fraud, and social engineering by building tools for everyone that inform, educate, and empower.
The first tool, a browser extension, provides in-the-moment guidance by analyzing key information about the message sender as well as the tone and intent of the message itself.
The goal of a well-crafted phishing email is to illicit an irrational, emotional response, quickly, so the victim takes an action before taking the time to think critically or look too closely at what they've received.
The goal of this browser extension is to encourage taking that extra second by highlighting what should be considered and why before clicking or taking any action.
Beyond the mission, a primary goal of this project is open, transparent development, which means:
- Roadmaps and research will be shared openly.
- Code will open and auditable.
- User data will not be collected or sold.
Long Term Vision
To grow the project into a group effort with other developers, designers, researchers, and creative folks all working towards a common mission. The project would then become an independent, Open Collective, ensuring transparency and accountability for all funding, expenses, and compensation for the team working on it.
If you would like to support the current solo effort, you can do so here.
